Shipping Policy

Thank you so much for choosing Malheurs Des Hommes. We are a small, independent jewelry house, and each piece we ship is carefully wrapped, inspected, and sent with intention. Below is everything you need to know about how we handle shipping.

1. Order Processing Times

We’re a small team and take the time to ensure each order is prepared beautifully.

  • Ready-to-ship items are usually processed within 2–5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays).
  • Custom or made-to-order pieces may take 4–6 weeks or longer, depending on complexity. If your order includes one of these pieces, we’ll keep you updated by email.

2. Shipping Methods & Rates

We ship with trusted carriers like UPS, FedEx, and DHL depending on your location.
Shipping options and prices are shown at checkout.

  • U.S. shipping: Tracked and insured.
  • International shipping: Available worldwide. You’ll see the options and cost at checkout.

Please note: We are not able to include customs duties or local taxes in our pricing.

3. Delivery Timeframes

Estimated shipping times (after dispatch) are:

  • U.S. orders: 2–7 business days
  • International orders: 5–14 business days

These are estimates only. We cannot control customs processing or carrier delays, but we’ll always help you track your package.

4. Risk of Loss and Insurance

All orders are shipped with insurance and tracking. Once your order leaves our studio and is handed off to the carrier, risk of loss transfers to you.

If something happens in transit, don’t worry — email us and we’ll do our best to help resolve it with the carrier.

5. Signature Confirmation

For your protection and ours, orders require a signature on delivery.

6. Customs, Duties & International Orders

For orders outside the U.S., you may be charged local import taxes or duties. These fees are not included in your order and are set by your country’s customs authority.

If you refuse to pay the import fees and the package is returned or destroyed, we unfortunately cannot refund the order.

7. Shipping Address & Delivery Issues

Please double-check your shipping address before completing your order.
If your package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, or if it's refused or unclaimed:

  • We’ll need to charge for re-shipping
  • If you choose not to have it re-sent, we are unable to offer a refund

8. Damaged or Incorrect Items

We hand-inspect each piece before it leaves us, but if something arrives damaged or not as expected, please email us within 6 hours of delivery confirmation at: 📧 info@malheursdeshommes.com

Include your:

  • Order number
  • Clear photos of the item and packaging
  • A quick description of what’s wrong

We’ll respond promptly and do our best to make it right.

9. Tracking Your Order

As soon as your order ships, we’ll send you a tracking number. You can follow your package through the carrier’s website.
